Family Food Over The Years

BBQ SAUCE
1 cup ketchup
2 Tablespoons each of the following three
fresh lemon juice
worchestershire sauce
vinegar
three vegies sauted
garlic
celery
onion
three of the following dry
dry mustard
pepper
salt
Now you can modify the base to what you like, add brown sugar or molassis or both, bell peppers with the onions and garlic, red pepper flakes or hot sauce for heat, chili sauce for more depth.  You can add more water and cook for an hour, then run this through a food mill so there are no pieces and the resulting sauce will be thicker.  Bake ribs for 2 hours in foil at 325, then drain - now add the sauce and bake at 350 for half an hour or put on grill and baste with sauce.  OR put on grill and then serve sauce on side.
